Electroneuromyographic analyzer "Synapsis" (4 channels) in a standard configuration is used to conduct a range of generally accepted electromyographic techniques. The system allows for surface, needle and stimulation examinations. As an additional option, the system implements dental techniques designed to assess the condition of the chewing and facial muscles.

Description

The device is operated using the required number of signal recording channels (up to 4 channels). The system can be used with equal efficiency both in stationary conditions and during on-site examinations (it does not require 220 V power supply for operation). During system development, a number of innovative technical solutions were used, allowing the recording of the highest quality electromyogram (EMG) with an extremely low level of noise and interference.

System and software capabilities

Methods of the Synapsis electromyographic system (4 channels):

  • analysis of interference, spontaneous, integral electromyogram;
  • turns-amplitude and spectral analysis;
  • motor unit potential analysis;
  • calculation of the speed of pulse conduction along motor (proximal and distal areas) and sensory nerves;
  • F-wave characterization;
  • analysis of the H-reflex, blink reflex;
  • analysis of the decrement of the M-response to rhythmic stimulation and tetanization;
  • dental techniques (superficial EMG and facial EMG) designed to assess the condition of the chewing and facial muscles;

Software functions:

  • the user-friendly and intuitive database interface allows to quickly fill in information about the patients during their registration in the electronic card file;
  • saving examination results (initial signals) and reporting forms;
  • software-based control of all parameters of recorded signals and stimulating effects;
  • automatic and automated detection of the electromyogram sections required for the analysis;
  • availability of standard data on the main parameters;
  • creation of customized protocols for conducting methods;
  • a built-in database of typical phrases required for quick generation of conclusions based on the examinations carried out;
  • digital signal processing algorithms for classification, calculations and graphical representation of results in the form of histograms;
  • generating a reporting form, including graphs, tables and diagrams;
  • the ability to view the report form in Microsoft Office Word.
