The professional version of MIST device was intended to be used mainly by the specialists in the field of botulinotherapy. This device allows performing the myographic control of the injection process by localizing the motor points of the muscles and topical detection of the target muscles. Such technique is required during the injection of neuromuscular blocking agents, such as Botox, Disport, Xeomin Lantox and other botulinum toxins, local analgesic anesthetics and anti-inflammatory medicines. Accurate injection of the medicine to the motor point zone improves the overall treatment effect, allowing using the significantly smaller amount of the injected medicine.

The device supports 4 different working modes:

  • Intensifier Mode is intended to indicate the muscular activity of the patient and synchronize the myogram 
  • Simulator Mode allows the patient to train muscles using the biofeedback method (BFB training)
  • Stimulator Mode makes it possible to stimulate muscle with a single or a series of electrical impulses
  • Electrotherapy Mode allows using electrical impulses to perform physiotherapeutic treatment following special programs.

Intensifier Mode is used to analyze the accuracy of the needle injection during various injection treatments.

The device is delivered with a set of special needles intended to inject the medicine at the moment of muscular activity registration. EMG-activity (myogram) is synchronized using headphones or a speaker. By using specific audial characteristics of the myogram the doctor is able to verify the place of injection, i.e. the location of the needle tip right at the motor point, i.e. in the place with the maximum density of end plates.

This mode allows using the device to perform the fast qualitative analysis of the muscle contraction (by using epicutaneous electrodes) during the process of kinesiological diagnostic performance in order to create the pattern of motions. 

Stimulator Mode allows not only monitoring the myogram but performing electrical stimulation of the examined muscle. Electrical impulses generated by the device are used to create the action potential and visually clear contraction of the muscle. The impulse is transmitted to the tip of the needle, causing the response of the muscle.

This method allows proper selection and control of the target muscles, significantly increasing the overall accuracy of the needle injection, as well as the therapeutical efficiency of the injection treatment.

Simulator Mode is intended to perform individual EMG BFB training sessions for paralyzed and impaired muscles (as a result of heart attacks, ICP, spinal brain and nerve stem injuries, Bell's palsy, posture problems etc.).

The patient is able to perform training sessions without the supervision of the doctor. The device serves as both the load regulator, and the "mirror" that reflects real contractions of trained muscles. The key benefit of the device is the fact that it allows tracking even the minimum muscle contractions, which may be invisible to the patient (in case of severe impairment).

Electrotherapy Mode is intended to perform myostimulation sessions in order to relax or activate muscles using special stimulation programs. One of the programs can be used as electroanalgesia, removing muscle pains.
