16-channel classical electroencephalograph Compact-Neuro is designed to implement standard electroencephalographic studies in stationary conditions. There are no any special requirements for the place where EEG registration by means of the device is implemented. Connection with a computer or notebook is implemented by means of USB. The electroencephalograph registers brain biopotentials in real time by free or preliminarily specified examination protocol in either monopolar or bipolar mode.Power supply from USB of notebook enables to use the Electroencephalograph in all conditions.

The electroencephalography system is equipped with a portable web-camera which enables to record video in parallel with EEG registration.

Photic and acoustic stimulator control units are built into the case of the electroencephalograph.Signals are recorded commonly in real time in monitoring mode. This done to control electrodes contact with patients body, than to overview such recorded trends for more exact result of artifacts differentiation.

Function capabilities

The system is designed to make routine (a standard procedure) and advanced studies of brain bioelectrical activity at free recordings. The signals are recorded in 16 commonly used channels in real time monitoring mode either monopolar or bipolar.

Interaction with the electroencephalograph is implemented by means of special software.

During EEG registration in real time the next functions are available:

  • time scale, amplitude scope, parameters of filters adjusting;
  • event logging;
  • EEG protocol changing;
  • video monitoring by means of web-camera;
  • selection of monopolar or bipolar record mode.

After the registration the next functions of EEG mathematical analysis are available:

  • spectral analysis;
  • correlation analysis;
  • topographic mapping;
  • pathologic phenomena automatic search;
  • artifacts removing.

Presented functions are applied for selected parts as well as for the whole record.

Results of the signal processing as well as the whole signal with parallel video record can be stored in the database. At any moment you can read data about each patient from the database and implement visual or advanced mathematical analysis.

The calculation table of basic parameters is based on recording data. It is possible to print the calculation table, mathematical analysis results. Raw signals can be printed fully or in selected separate portions (short printing). There is a built-in Supporting System that makes a conclusion.


The electroencephalograph software is designed for work under operating system Windows 7 and higher. The main distinctive feature of the software is ease of its use. No special skills are required for work with it except skill of computer using. The program has all necessary and sufficient functions and modes for classical electroencephalography examination. Main window of the electroencephalography program is designed similarly to desktop of operating system Windows. In the main window you can do the next actions:

  • open patients database;
  • work with the electroencephalogram;
  • open software description;
  • view the contact information.

Database is necessary for storing the information about patients and examination results. Patients sorting in groups, internal system of the report generation according to examination results, results printing are available.

Work with the electroencephalogram is divided into the modes of registration and EEG analysis. In the registration mode in real time according to the scheme of the electrodes placement, under the selected examination protocol or without a protocol signal is input into the personal computer and displayed on the screen. In parallel it is possible to log events, monitor the patients video image, change the electroencephalograph parameters (sensitivity, sweep, filters).

In the analysis mode advanced estimation of the electroencephalography, spectral analysis, correlation analysis, topographic mapping, search of pathologic activity regions is available. The program has flexible and easy-to-use interface, enables to adjust registration and analysis modes for needs of a concrete user.

Delivery set
The electroencephalography system comprises the following basic parts:
16 channel device electroencephalograph designed to register and transfer brain biopotentials to computer with built-in visual and auditory stimulators, connected to personal computer by means of USB;
a set of electroencephalographic electrodes (18 electrodes for EEG registration, 1common electrode, 2 reference electrodes) and two fixing helmets;
software that provides signal video, recording and storing in database, digital analysis, report generation; the software is designed for work under operating system Windows (2000 or XP and higher);

To make the system function it is required to have a personal computer or notebook of the following configuration:

  • Processor at least 2 GHz, 2-core CPU (Intel i3 or i5 is recommended);
  • RAM 4 GB or more;
  • Quantified (external/out) video card with memory minimum 512 Mb;
  • hard disk drive minimum 500 Gb;
  • monitor resolution with screen saver 1600 pixels in horizontal and not less 900 pixels in vertical direction both; For monitors format not less than 21.5, for notebook 17.
  • printer to export reports (unessential);
  • operation system Windows 7 or higher;
  • DVD-ROM is required (able to record DVD disks).
  • There must be at least 2 free USB ports on a PC to connect the electromyography system.
  • The system can be set up into clients computer, but it is recommended to be delivered with a computer and a printer.
